Our Board
There are 12 members on the Board of Directors and include: 5 Tenants, 3 Council representatives and 4 Independent members. The Board of Directors all work on a voluntary basis using their skills, knowledge and expertise to ensure that GGH achieves its vision and improving the quality of life for our customers.
The Memorandum and Articles of Association outline the constitution.

Royston Willard
Royston has run his own business, has been active in residents’ associations and has chaired the Federation of Tenants and Residents’ Associations. He was the company Chairman for 3 years and a key player in the achievements of GGH.
Jan Kitshoff
Jan is a management consultant and has detailed knowledge of public and private sector issues affecting the operation of business in the north-west, particularly those in the construction sector. He has an MBA from Manchester Business School and experience of strategy formulation, project management, implementation of change and new systems, senior operational management, benchmarking/KPIs, business plan formulation and obtaining grant funding. He is a co-author of the book Converting Customer Value: from Retention to Profit.
Carole Hassan
Caroles background is in community development, she has been chief executive of two local authorities and held a number of other senior positions in local government. Carole brings extensive experience of strategic and operational management of local services, including housing, environment, planning and social services. She is the Boards lead member for Learning. Carole has also led on corporate equalities issues, womens development and economic development. She sits as a Regional Board member for Sport England.
Sheila Barber
Sheila joined the Board in July 2006, she has been a tenant for 37 years. She served for 20 years on Poulton-with-Fearnhead Parish Council and was the first Chairperson of the Tenants Federation. She was a member of the Estate Management Board (EMB) from 1992 until Anson and Blenheim Closes were demolished in 2003 and was its chair for several years. Sheila is also currently involved in GGH Tenant Participation structures including the Consultative Panel and is a trained Tenant Inspector. Sheila is the lead member for Equality & Diversity.
Sheila Woodyatt
Sheila has served as a local councillor and mayor of Warrington. Sheila serves on GGH’s Service Development and Performance Review Committee and is also the Councils Portfolio Holder for Childrens Services and has been extensively involved in committees relating to the Boroughs environment, transport and traffic issues, education and social inclusion. In July 2004 the Council nominated Sheila to replace Sue Bland who had resigned her Board membership shortly after the local elections.
