Shared Ownership

What is Shared Ownership?
Shared Ownership is when you buy an initial share of 50% or more in a property using either a mortgage or savings and pay rent on the rest.

How can I buy a Shared Ownership property?
Shared Ownership properties are sold through normal estate agencts. You cannot purchase your own property under the shared ownership scheme.

Who is responsible for maintaining the property?
Repairs and maintenance are entirely your responsibility. You have to arrange for the work to be carried out and pay the bills.

Can I buy further shares in the property?
Yes, you can purchase further shares at any time in blocks of 10%.

How do I sell my house?
